2023 AUDITIONS
We are casting a fully-staged version of The Sound of Music, seeking actresses with acting, singing, and dancing abilities. All actresses should expect to be a vital contributor in an ensemble. We operate in a Diva-Free Zone.
Auditions are on Monday, June 5th & Tuesday, June 6th, 2023
7:00 - 9:30 pm

Open call. No appointment necessary.
Choose either Monday or Tuesday night; you do not have to come on both nights.
When you arrive, please sign up for an audition time on the sign-up sheet.

Mandatory Tech Week: November 26 – 30, 2023
Rehearsals begin on: August 7, 2023
And are held on every Monday and Wednesday night from 8-10
About The Sound of Music
Our 2023 production is The Sound of Music, the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein musical that was based on the 1949 memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as a governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun. The original Broadway production opened in 1959 and won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a 1965 film musical version won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The Sound of Music was the last musical written by Rodgers & Hammerstein; Oscar Hammerstein died of stomach cancer nine months after the Broadway premiere.
